A very unplanned turn of events today. A few days ago, I shared a spreadsheet I made on CorvetteForum that simply listed all the dealers, how many Stingrays have been built for them, and how many Z06's have been built for them. Then it shows the percentage of the Z06's compared to the Stingrays. The idea was to just see how much of the Z06's the different size dealers are getting. Basically just looking for some trends in the data (looked like most dealers got roughly 6-7% of their Stingrays in Z06's.. with some very extreme outliers). This spreadsheet got a very positive response, people seemed really into the data. I had no idea until today, but CorvetteForum put up an article about the spreadsheet and this website. That definitely explained the jump in traffic I saw over the last few days.
So obviously, this is data people are interested in. I had to add it to the site.
Now under the Dealers section, there is a new page called Comparisons. For now, when you click that, it will take you to this "Stingray vs. Z06" data. In the future, I plan to make more comparisons like this. Maybe a Z06 vs. Z07 comparison to see if any particular dealers are getting a large percentage of Z07's... or the same sort of thing for the 70th Anniversary cars. Basically, anything that fits into my intent of making this website a great platform for Corvette buyers to do some research. In this case, having some data that shows you which dealer may have a better chance at getting you the car that you want instead of just picking a random local dealer who may never even get an allocation.
