MY2023 Official Production Numbers Released - Lets Compare to C8Tracker

Jan 5, 2024

I've been looking forward to the official MY23 production numbers getting released because I wanted to compare them to the data C8Tracker has collected via the window stickers.  There has always been some people who cast doubt on the accuracy of this website.  I've never claimed it was 100% accurate, the number I would usually throw out was "around 95%."  I knew there was some Canadian market Z06's that for whatever reason the window stickers were just never available.  Nothing I can do about that.

But now we have some real numbers to compare to.  Since the window stickers only represent the US and Canadian market cars, I am going to focus on those.  These numbers are Stingrays and Z06s combined.

US Market
Official total 46,865
C8Tracker total 46,602
Accuracy 99%

Canadian Market
Official total 3,179
C8Tracker total 3,099
Accuracy 97%

US and CA Markets Combined
Official total 50,044
C8Tracker total 49,701
Accuracy 99%

Well, looks pretty accurate to me ;) I didn't go crazy with the math, but the biggest discrepancy appears to be the Z06 numbers.  I'm not sure if these official numbers include the Z06 captured test fleet cars.  They probably do, which would explain most of this discrepancy (along with the unavailable CA Z06 window stickers) as C8Tracker doesn't really track the CTF cars (the CTF E-Rays on the site will be deleted soon).
